Novant Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist II – Acute to join their acute care team. This role involves working independently and assisting physicians/APCs in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, preparing patients, and operating x-ray equipment in the acute setting.

What you'll do

• Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
• Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
• Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
• Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
• Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required.

Experience

Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
