Return Merchandise Authorization Technician

Job overview

The Return Merchandise Authorization Technician position is onsite in Austin, TX. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role is part of Brivo’s Manufacturing Operations team, supporting its cloud-based physical security products. The technician inspects, diagnoses, and repairs returned hardware to uphold product quality and customer satisfaction. Failure analysis and defect data help Quality Control, Hardware Engineering, and Manufacturing teams identify recurring issues and improve products.

What you'll do

• Receive, inspect, and log returned hardware
• diagnose hardware failures and troubleshoot components
• repair, refurbish, or replace components according to standard procedures
• reflash firmware and test repaired units
• document failure analysis and repair actions
• collaborate with Quality Control and Hardware Engineering on recurring defects
• sort returned inventory for scrap, vendor return, or refurbished stock.
