What you'll do

• Follow department procedures for dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• label and date food in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage
• handle and use food to prevent contamination, maintain quality, and reduce cost
• suggest menu or recipe changes to use leftovers and supplies
• clean food service equipment, kitchen, and storage areas
• maintain and record food temperatures
• assist with tray-line setup and assemble trays according to menus, tickets, portions, resident preferences, and diet orders
• check trays for accuracy during service.
