The Senior/Lead Data Scientist, Data & Analytics role is an onsite position based in Orlinda, TN. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the Starbucks Data & Analytics department in driving business strategy through advanced modeling. This role exists to guide business decisions by applying statistical and machine learning approaches to high-impact problems. The incumbent will partner cross-functionally to transform ambiguous business questions into measurable, actionable solutions that can be integrated into real-world business workflows.

What you'll do

• Develop and apply analytical models (statistical and/or machine learning) to improve decision-making, performance, and customer/partner outcomes.
• Translate business problems into data science solutions by defining approach, sourcing/validating data, and communicating clear recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Operationalize work by creating repeatable analysis/model pipelines, improving model performance over time, and contributing to shared standards including documentation, version control, and reproducibility.
