Mine Development Supervisor

The Mine Development Supervisor role is onsite at Stillwater Mine in Nye, MT, with a 5x4 or 4x5 schedule of 11.5-hour shifts. Compensation is $101,000 per year. The supervisor reports to the General Foreman and coordinates with mine crews and support functions to carry out underground operations safely and reliably. This role translates the approved weekly plan into shift assignments, directs and verifies field work, manages operational variances, and escalates constraints. It supports safe, compliant, and productive mine operations through crew leadership, coordination, and accurate shift reporting.

What you'll do

• Lead safe underground shift execution
• reinforce critical controls and stop unsafe work
• verify workplace and equipment inspections
• report incidents and support investigations
• confirm employee qualifications
• translate weekly plans into shift assignments
• coach employees
• coordinate with supervisors and support teams
• manage labor, equipment, materials, and costs against the plan
• complete handoffs and operational records.
