The Mechanic Helper Technician role is onsite in Benicia, CA. Compensation is $29.23 per hour. AMPORTS provides automotive processing and vehicle services that support the movement, preparation, and delivery of customer vehicles. The role assists with vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to help maintain safe, reliable fleet operations. Working with experienced mechanics, the helper performs assigned light mechanical work, follows factory procedures, and communicates basic vehicle concerns to support vehicle readiness.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles
• perform preventive maintenance
• inspect vehicles affected by stop orders
• assist senior mechanics with parts replacement and repairs
• follow factory procedures and safety requirements
• diagnose basic vehicle concerns and communicate findings
• remove and replace parts using approved tools
• operate vehicles as needed
• use basic computer systems
• maintain tools and a safe, orderly work area.

Why this role
