The Diesel Lifecycle Engineering Representative, Navy Shipboard role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, with approximately 10–20% travel anticipated. Compensation is $43.36 per hour. THOR Solutions provides engineering and technical support to defense, federal, and commercial maritime customers; this position supports Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. The representative supports assigned Navy vessels by coordinating diesel engine maintenance, monitoring performance and maintenance data, and helping crews plan and perform engine analysis and balancing. The role contributes to vessel readiness through maintenance planning, technical documentation, crew training, and coordination with maintenance teams and suppliers.
What you'll do
- Coordinate diesel engine maintenance with ship maintenance teams and regional maintenance centers
- represent the ISEA at project meetings, conferences, work package reviews, and industrial support visits
- maintain lifecycle maintenance plans
- monitor maintenance and performance data and testing compliance
- coordinate condition-based maintenance
- review technical reports, work specifications, and procedures
- develop maintenance policies
- coordinate parts and materials with suppliers
- train crews in engine performance data collection
- assist with engine balancing and grooming.
