The Fall 2026 Designer Co-Op role is an onsite position based in Newport News, VA. The salary range is $37,000.00 to $51,000.00 per year, and this role supports the E01 Engineering & Design team at Newport News Shipbuilding, which designs and builds U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. This role provides students with hands-on experience supporting the design, development, and production of U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and submarines. The co-op works alongside experienced designers and engineers to create and revise technical drawings and 3D models.

What you'll do

• Assists in developing engineering drawings and design documentation.
• Supports 3D modeling activities.
• Reviews technical specifications.
• Participates in design reviews.
• Conducts field verification.
