What you'll do

• Generate daily office-visit census
• code clinic charts using CPT and ICD-10 guidelines
• review and correct coding discrepancies and communicate with clinic staff and the Business Office
• review charts for completeness
• scan and upload records to the electronic health record
• review and release information appropriately for subpoenas and requests
• follow HIPAA and HITECH requirements
• process and log disclosures
• request records from other facilities
• maintain files and shred records according to procedures
• submit records-request charge sheets.
