The Civil Engineering Technician role is onsite in Savannah, GA. Compensation is not specified. Thomas & Hutton’s civil design teams support land development and infrastructure projects across the Southeast. The technician prepares and coordinates civil design deliverables that help engineers advance projects from design through construction planning. The work includes developing plans and reports, performing routine calculations, preparing estimates and permit materials, and supporting project standards, schedules, and budgets.

What you'll do

• Prepare construction plans, drawings, exhibits, and reports for land development, roadway, water, and sewer projects
• develop detailed drawings using CADD software
• perform routine design calculations
• prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, specifications, permit applications, and bid packages as needed
• coordinate technicians as needed
• monitor assigned work against schedule and budget
• communicate status and scheduling needs
• participate in project meetings as needed
• contribute to CADD standards and procedures.

Requires 10+ years of CADD experience and demonstrated land development experience using Autodesk Civil 3D. Onsite schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
