Data Website Technician — Language and Culture

Job overview

The Data Website Technician — Language and Culture role is onsite in Wellpinit, WA. Compensation is $19.65–$25.00 per hour. The technician supports the Spokane Tribe’s Language/Culture Program, which works to preserve and revitalize Spokane language and culture. The role maintains program websites and digital records, prepares multimedia learning materials, and works with Elders, language speakers, students, and community members to help preserve and pass on cultural and linguistic knowledge.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain program websites
• upload and organize teaching materials
• edit images and audio and prepare media for web publication
• operate and maintain multimedia equipment
• catalog, back up, and securely store digital assets
• maintain filing systems and databases
• document processes and consent forms
• record and interview Elders and knowledgeable individuals
• support cultural events and troubleshoot technical issues.
