Director of Finance

Job overview

The Director of Finance role is based in Colorado Springs, CO, and pays $60,000–$70,000 per year. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pikes Peak Region works to help young people reach their full potential and serves more than 1,300 youth annually across multiple locations. The director leads the organization's financial functions and advises executive and board leadership. The role supports the organization's mission by aligning financial resources with priorities and overseeing budgeting, reporting, accounting, grants, audits, risk management, and compliance.

What you'll do

• Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, sustainability, and risk
• align resources with organizational goals
• lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• oversee accounting operations and month-end close
• ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit standards, grant requirements, and regulations
• coordinate annual audits and IRS Form 990 filings
• manage restricted and unrestricted grant funds
• coordinate with Development and Operations
• oversee financial systems and reporting tools.

Why this role

Reports to the President and CEO and works with the Board of Directors and Finance Committee. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 5–7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including nonprofit experience.
