Infant/Toddler Program Lead Teacher

The Infant/Toddler Program Lead Teacher role is onsite in New York, NY. The full-time schedule is 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and compensation is $28–$30 per hour. Small Wonder Childcare is a year-round program for children ages 6–24 months and is part of Dwight Early Childhood Division. The lead teacher creates a safe, nurturing classroom and works with assistant teachers to prepare and implement activities. The role supports children’s development through classroom routines and play, maintains communication with families and administrators, and follows current New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene rules and regulations.

What you'll do

• Set up and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing classroom
• collaborate with assistant teachers to prepare and implement activities
• communicate with parents and administrators and share children’s daily milestones
• coordinate with faculty and staff on program decisions
• support diverse learners
• comply with current NYC DOHMH rules
• monitor health, wellness, and safety procedures.
