Before and After School Instructor

The Before and After School Instructor role is onsite at Highview Elementary in Lakeville, MN. Compensation is $26.57–$29.92 per hour, depending on education and experience. The split shift is 6:15–10:00 a.m. and 3:30–6:00 p.m., for 183 days plus field trip days. Lakeville Area Schools’ Kid Zone program serves students in grades K–5. The instructor helps create a safe, supportive setting where children can participate in school-age care and enrichment. The role develops and leads age-appropriate activities and curriculum, supports student relationships and accommodations, and serves as a contact for program-specific needs.

What you'll do

• Assist with developing, implementing, and evaluating school-age care and enrichment activities, programs, and services for grades K–5
• create and implement age-appropriate, theme-based curriculum aligned with Minnesota School Age Indicators of Progress
• serve as the primary contact for program-specific needs, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and participant accommodations
• work with groups of children in classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, playgrounds, and on field trips.
