The Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Controller role is onsite in New York, NY. Compensation is $70,000–$85,000 per year. Complete Playground is an inclusive family recreation destination in Manhattan, with play areas and a sensory space for children. The bookkeeper manages financial records and transactions, payroll, reconciliations, revenue tracking, tax filings, and financial reporting. The work provides the General Manager and ownership with accurate records and financial information to support operations and growth.

What you'll do

• Maintain ledgers and financial records for parties, memberships, cafe sales, and retail
• manage accounts payable and receivable
• process biweekly payroll
• reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• track revenue categories
• prepare sales tax returns and assist with year-end tax preparation and audits
• prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Why this role

Requires 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; advanced QuickBooks Online and Excel knowledge; accounting, finance, or related degree or equivalent professional certification. POS and payroll platform familiarity is a plus.
