- safely operate CAT D5–D8 bulldozers and CAT 320–349 excavators
- load on-road and off-road trucks
- grade terrain using stakes, hand signals, or GPS controls
- coordinate machine actions with crew members
- inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance checks
- troubleshoot breakdowns and call for repairs
- follow safety procedures and avoid hazards such as utility lines and other workers.
