Director of Engineering

The Director of Engineering role is onsite in Dallas, TX. Compensation is $200,000–$225,000 per year, plus bonus and equity. Osteal Therapeutics is developing a drug-delivery platform for orthopedic infections and is working toward bringing its NEXCHANGE KIT therapy to patients.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering execution for product-platform upgrades and new product development
• oversee sustaining engineering, system architecture, integration, design controls, risk management, and verification and validation
• troubleshoot technical and field issues
• support manufacturing and design transfer
• collaborate with Software, Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, and Operations teams
• and lead and mentor engineering staff.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 10+ years of medical-device or combination-product development experience. FDA-regulated product development experience is central to the role.
