Residential Support Staff, Mental Health Treatment

Job overview

The Residential Support Staff role is onsite in Lancaster, OH, in a 24/7 mental health treatment environment. Pay is $20–$22 per hour. The role provides direct support and supervision to residents as part of ABHS’s care team. The staff member helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment, supports activities of daily living, and follows the facility schedule. Monitoring behavior, using approved de-escalation techniques, and documenting observations help the clinical team maintain continuity of care and safety.

What you'll do

• Provide continuous resident supervision
• conduct documented safety checks and rounds
• monitor interactions and use approved de-escalation techniques
• assist with activities of daily living
• facilitate the daily schedule and assigned non-clinical activities
• document behavior and incidents in the EMR
• provide shift handoffs
• report clinical concerns and safety risks
• assist with admissions and facility upkeep
• transport residents to appointments as needed.
