The Chief Engineer – Systems Engineering role is non-remote and based at multiple locations in and around Manassas, VA; compensation is not specified. The engineer supports Navy Department of Defense tactical and support systems for Sedna Digital Solutions. The role leads system architecture development and implementation, requirements analysis, verification, and integration. It also manages technical risks, system engineering documentation, technology refresh, and cybersecurity activities to help ensure systems meet program requirements.

What you'll do

• Serve as a primary point of contact for external partners, customers, and Navy representatives
• lead requirements development, validation, and verification testing
• ensure compatibility, interoperability, and integration of interfaces
• define, develop, and implement system architecture
• resolve development, upgrade, and maintenance problems
• manage technical risks and system engineering documentation
• implement and manage technology refresh
• lead cybersecurity program establishment and maintenance for system certification and accreditation.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or computer science, or equivalent related experience; 12 or more years of relevant experience; and leadership experience on a significant program. Must be clearable to DoD Secret level. Annual travel of less than 10% is required.
