Lead Substation Engineer

This position supports the Leidos Power Delivery Services Team, which provides critical engineering solutions to utility providers and private developers. The role is responsible for the full project lifecycle of substation physical and protection and control (P&C) designs. The engineer will perform quality control checks, create design drawings, manage bills of materials, and ensure all work complies with National Electrical Safety Code standards and client requirements.

What you'll do

• Execute substation physical and P&C projects
• perform quality control on design projects
• create and review one-line, three-line, schematic, wiring, and grounding drawings
• manage bills of materials
• provide project lifecycle support from scoping to implementation
• ensure compliance with National Electrical Safety Code
• collaborate with designers and CAD technicians.
