What you'll do

• Administer and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process
• assess and reassess emergency department patients and communicate findings
• perform triage
• provide patient-centered care and individualized care planning
• respond to changes in patient condition
• document care consistent with policies and protocols
• educate patients and families, including discharge information
• collaborate with healthcare team members and delegate as appropriate
• support patient safety, privacy, and rights
• participate in quality improvement and staff orientation
• may be assigned charge responsibilities
• perform moderate sedation interventions after required education and competency.
