What you'll do
- Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences.
- Develop students' practices in questioning, modeling, constructing explanations, data analysis, argumentation, and conducting interactive labs.
- Create an environment for scientific discourse.
- Facilitate student-led discourse using evidence for claims and critiques.
- Facilitate student-led inquiry and lab/project-based performance tasks.
- Work with the Science department on academic and engagement goals.
- Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work.
- Differentiate instruction.
- Build positive relationships with students and families.
- Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
- Participate in school-wide meetings.
- Partner with grade level team.
