The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Full-Time Float Pool role is onsite in Lafayette, IN. Compensation is not specified. The CMA supports clinical and clerical operations by assisting providers with tests and procedures, maintaining patient records, and coordinating appointments and follow-up. The position also supports patient engagement and outreach as directed.

What you'll do

• Interview patients and record vital signs and information in electronic medical records
• perform clinical procedures and tests under provider direction
• dispense medications as directed
• prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• manage front-desk tasks, calls, scheduling, records, and regulatory reporting
• order supplies
• coordinate referrals and follow-up
• and periodically assist with engagement and outreach. Infrequent domestic travel may be required and is expected to be less than 20% of responsibilities.

Why this role

Candidates without Medical Assistant certification must obtain certification within six months of employment. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
