Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Paulding, OH. Compensation is $12 per hour. The position supports resident activities at Paulding Care Community, a care community focused on long-term care and resident well-being. The assistant helps plan and deliver activities that support residents’ physical, social, mental, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. The role also encourages resident and family involvement and coordinates with facility departments to support smooth programming.

What you'll do

• Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating activities in accordance with resident assessments and care plans
• coordinate with facility departments
• participate in community planning
• gather activity information from residents and families
• prepare clean and safe activity spaces
• provide daily activities such as movies, parties, games, crafts, and projects
• oversee and encourage resident participation
• follow HIPAA requirements and honor residents’ refusal of treatment.
