General Manager, Dairy Cooperative Operations

The General Manager is an onsite, full-time position in Lowville, NY. Compensation is $80,000–$100,000 per year. Lowville Producers Dairy Cooperative is owned by 190 dairy farm families and serves the dairy industry in Lewis County, NY. The General Manager leads operations to coordinate milk supply, customer demand, product logistics, and the cooperative's retail cheese store and milk quality lab. The role works to maximize the value of member milk, maintain customer and member relationships, improve operational performance, and report results and recommendations to the Board of Directors.

What you'll do

• Monitor milk supply, demand, customer requirements, and market conditions
• develop strategies to maximize member milk value and minimize waste
• maintain relationships with raw milk customers
• oversee daily operations of the retail cheese store and milk quality lab
• manage marketing and logistics for milk products
• coordinate with member farms, customers, haulers, plants, and operational partners
• lead during disruptions
• monitor performance indicators and report to the Board
• ensure compliance
• coach and develop staff.
