Senior Electrical Engineer, Medium Voltage

The Senior Electrical Engineer, Medium Voltage role is onsite in Independence, OH, with compensation of $150,000–$190,000 per year. The role supports Avtron’s New Product Development team, which develops future medium-voltage products for its power test equipment business. The engineer leads the design and development of medium-voltage technology, translating customer and market needs into safe, compliant, cost-effective products. The work includes electrical designs, drawings, specifications, validation and testing, system integration, and product improvements.

What you'll do

• Develop medium-voltage product concepts from market and customer requirements
• lead electrical designs up to primary distribution levels
• create drawings, models, schematics, technical specifications, and bills of materials
• lead or support DFMEA, validation, and testing
• integrate products for manufacture and assembly
• prepare test reports and customer documentation
• ensure safety and compliance with applicable standards
• identify product and process improvements.
