Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant works onsite in Middletown, NY, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $75,000–$80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. What you'll do

• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account and bank reconciliations
• assist with month- and year-end close
• prepare reports, journal entries, payment transactions, and account analyses
• manage owner-operator accounting, settlements, escrow, and 1099 preparation
• prepare and file applicable tax returns
• support financial, insurance, workers' compensation, and union audits
• track union dues, pension and welfare contributions, and benefits payments
• assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• research and resolve accounting and tax issues.
