K–8 Reading and Math Tutor

Job overview

The K–8 Reading and Math Tutor position is onsite in Essex Junction, VT, and is part-time. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour. The role supports students at Sylvan Learning of Essex through the center’s instructional programs. The tutor delivers individualized instruction, tracks student progress, and communicates student needs to center staff to support each learner’s progress through assigned program materials.

• Prepare materials for instructional sessions
• engage students and teach using Sylvan program materials
• manage students, tasks, and time
• evaluate and record student progress
• communicate student needs to center staff
• complete program certification training and ongoing training.
