What you'll do

  • Help ensure efficient unit operations and coordinate with other departments
  • lead nursing staff in resident care
  • maintain resident records under state and federal guidelines
  • support health restoration
  • communicate with residents’ families
  • assist with care-plan development and adjustments
  • supervise, counsel, and discipline nursing staff as needed
  • ensure regulatory and facility-policy compliance
  • collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians
  • complete admission and discharge assessments
  • audit care-plan changes, charting, evaluations, and forms
  • provide hands-on care and medication distribution as needed
  • participate in quality, safety, and improvement committees
  • provide staff education and clinical backup
  • take weekend on-call according to assigned rotation if applicable.
