What you'll do
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage wastewater and biosolids treatment operations
- develop process-control strategies and analyze operational and laboratory data
- maintain and recommend SCADA modifications
- ensure regulatory compliance
- inspect processes and troubleshoot
- schedule and supervise operators across shifts
- coordinate laboratory analyses and instrumentation
- support equipment procurement and facility improvement projects
- administer the operations budget
- manage safety, SOPs, training, staffing, and emergency operations.

Why this role
Requires a high school diploma or GED, ten years of progressively responsible activated-sludge wastewater treatment plant experience, an Illinois EPA Class 1 Wastewater Treatment Works Operator certificate, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. Residency within Macon County is required within 180 days of accepting the position; relocation assistance is available.
