Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Float

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Float role is onsite in Portage, IN, with a varied full-time schedule across Lake and Porter counties. Pay is $20 per hour. The caregiver fills in at different programs, providing practical assistance and guidance while supporting individuals’ safety, dignity, personal growth, and daily living needs. The role also coordinates services, documents progress, and transports people to appointments or activities.

What you'll do

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance
• coordinate services involving finances, medical needs, recreation, education, family contact, and household management
• assist with mobility, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene
• perform housekeeping and laundry
• build relationships with individuals served and teammates
• attend community activities
• transport individuals to appointments or activities
• document progress, milestones, and action steps.
