The Transport Van Driver position is onsite in Troy, OH; pay is $14.50–$15.50 per hour. The role supports Miami County’s transportation of eligible veterans to medical appointments, including the Dayton VA Medical Center and nearby destinations. The driver provides safe, coordinated transportation between veterans’ residences and appointments, while communicating with passengers, VA staff, and other agencies. The work helps veterans access medical care and accommodates transportation needs related to appointments and hospital discharge.

What you'll do

• Transport eligible veterans to and from the Dayton VA Medical Center, nearby medical appointments, and WPAFB
• pick up and return passengers to their residences
• explain transportation policy to new passengers
• record mileage and fuel use
• coordinate assistance equipment and transportation for veterans discharged from hospital
• help passengers adjust appointments to fit transportation schedules
• maintain van safety and hygiene and report needs to the Transportation Coordinator.
