What you'll do

• Read finishing requirements from blueprints
• apply paint, zinc, and other coatings to customer specifications
• wear a respirator or supplied-air hood as required
• use rigging, hoisting equipment, or a forklift to position or transport materials
• inspect cranes and rigging and report defects
• tag loads for shipment
• maintain quality procedures
• comply with GHS, SDS, and hazardous-waste labeling requirements
• follow spill response procedures
• clean and maintain the work area and finishing equipment
• dispose of coating materials and production waste
• work safely and assist coworkers as needed.
