The Reproductive Health Assistant (Medical Assistant) is an onsite role in Waukegan, IL. Pay is $20.15 per hour. The role supports Planned Parenthood of Illinois’ family planning, medication abortion, and procedural abortion services. Working with clinicians and nursing staff, the assistant prepares patients and rooms, supports visits and authorized procedures, and helps maintain safe, timely, patient-centered care. Accurate documentation, infection prevention, and coordinated patient flow contribute to the health center’s clinical work.

What you'll do

• Room patients
• obtain and document vital signs, histories, medication information, and allergies
• prepare examination rooms
• assist clinicians with examinations and authorized procedures
• support family planning and abortion visits, including ultrasound preparation as trained and authorized
• perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and authorized point-of-care testing within validated competencies
• support patient flow and registration or scheduling when needed
• document in the EHR
• follow infection prevention, privacy, laboratory, and safety requirements
• maintain equipment and supplies.
