Diesel Mechanic Technician

The Diesel Mechanic Technician role is an onsite position based in Saint Louis, MO. Compensation is not specified beyond an hourly rate of up to $30 per hour based on experience, with additional pay for CDL holders. This role supports the maintenance department of Performance Foodservice, a broadline distributor dedicated to supporting America’s food distribution system. The primary purpose of this role is to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units under minimal supervision. The technician ensures fleet equipment remains roadworthy and compliant with all state and federal regulations while maintaining accurate documentation of all repairs and parts usage.

What you'll do

• Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on fleet diesel equipment
• identify root causes of failures
• ensure equipment licensing and registration
• document work orders in the Enterprise Asset Management system
• install and repair onboard computers
• inspect brake and steering systems
• perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
