The Milling Machinist (Manual/CNC) – Third Shift role is fully onsite in Sidney, OH, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST. Compensation is described as competitive hourly pay with overtime; no numeric rate is specified. DRT Aerospace manufactures critical aerospace components for its customers. The machinist sets up, operates, and troubleshoots manual milling machines and CNC machining centers to produce close-tolerance aerospace and defense components. The role supports production quality through blueprint interpretation, machine adjustments, inspections, documentation, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate manual milling machines and CNC machining centers
• interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and process documentation
• select and install tooling, fixtures, vises, workholding devices, and offsets
• complete setups and verify first-piece acceptance
• monitor operations and adjust processes for dimensional accuracy
• edit CNC programs and adjust offsets
• machine precision aerospace components
• perform in-process and final inspections
• troubleshoot tooling, machine, process, and quality issues
• complete production and inspection documentation
• support continuous improvement and root-cause investigations
• collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
• maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
