Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Adult Disability Support

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role is onsite in North Canton, OH, supporting people in their homes and communities. Pay is $15–$17 per hour. Renew Residential Services provides person-centered support intended to help residents live as independently as possible while protecting their safety, comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The role exists to provide individualized daily assistance and support residents’ independence and well-being. The caregiver follows care plans, supports daily living and community participation, documents progress, and communicates with supervisors, families, and other providers.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• prepare meals and assist with eating as needed
• follow individualized care and behavior support plans
• administer medications according to policy and training
• maintain a safe and clean living environment
• support social activities and community outings
• document observations and care
• communicate with supervisors, families, and providers
• respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
