The Senior Systems Engineer — MBSE, DOORS, and Cameo role is fully onsite in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Compensation is $118,519–$131,482 per year. General Dynamics Mission Systems develops high-technology solutions and services for defense and scientific missions; this role supports the U.S. Navy’s D5LE2 strategic deterrent program. The engineer applies systems engineering across the system life cycle, using model-based systems engineering and digital engineering to develop and communicate architectures, requirements, and designs. The work supports program milestones, technical decisions, integration and test, and delivery of mission-critical solutions.

What you'll do

• Perform requirements, functional, and performance analysis
• support system design, trade studies, integration, verification, validation, and interface definition
• develop and maintain system architectures, models, and designs using MBSE and digital engineering tools
• analyze design weaknesses and support engineering decisions
• conduct technical planning, cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses
• allocate requirements
• research vendor products and components
• support modeling and simulation
• generate engineering products
• support security specifications and documentation as applicable
• plan project tasks and contribute to program milestones.
