Life Skills Transition Specialist

The Life Skills Transition Specialist role is onsite in Milton, FL. Pay is $19.90 per hour. The GEO Group provides correctional and community reentry services, including evidence-based rehabilitation and post-release reintegration support. The specialist helps incarcerated individuals prepare for transition back into society through classroom guidance, resource information, and individualized post-release planning. The role supports participation in life-skills and pre-release programs and encourages individuals to take responsibility for their plans and future activities.

What you'll do

• Provide classroom guidance in career planning, social adjustment, life skills, and personal management
• explain pre-release activities and plans and identify community resources
• review curricula and resources to support participation in pre-release and life-skills programs
• assess needs and refer individuals to appropriate staff
• help develop individual post-release plans and encourage responsibility for post-release activities.
