Specimen Collector

Job overview

The Specimen Collector role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The schedule is part-time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. Millennium Health is an accredited specialty laboratory providing medication monitoring and drug testing services to support clinical decision-making. The collector obtains and processes patient specimens and serves as a link between clinics and the laboratory. The role also records patient and order information, maintains supplies, resolves specimen or portal concerns, and provides patient-facing service during collections.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory
• record patient, physician order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information
• maintain onsite collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable
• driving between facilities may be required.
