In-Home Caregiver

The In-Home Caregiver role is onsite in clients’ homes in Summerville, SC, with visits across the service area. The schedule is part-time, Monday–Friday afternoon shifts and sometimes Saturday. Pay is $14 per hour. A First Name Basis provides in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The caregiver provides personal care, companionship, and practical daily support while helping clients remain safe and comfortable at home. The role also monitors changes in well-being, documents care, and follows client instructions and company standards.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
• offer companionship and emotional support
• assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding as needed
• provide medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• monitor and report changes in health and well-being
• maintain a safe environment
• document care
• travel reliably to assigned homes
• complete required in-service training.
