Medical Assistant, Friday–Monday Shift

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Baltimore, MD, with compensation of $16–$28 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Monday, 7:45 AM–7:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 7:45 AM–1:00 PM. The role supports the OrthoMaryland Division, an orthopaedic practice focused on patient-centered care. Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and physicians, the assistant supports examinations, treatment, and patient flow. The role contributes to safe, organized clinic visits by preparing patients and rooms, documenting information, and assisting clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Support patient flow and comfort, safety, and privacy
• prepare patients for exams and procedures
• obtain chief complaints and medical histories
• record planned procedures
• support evaluation and treatment
• prepare injections as ordered
• initiate emergency procedures
• stock and organize exam rooms
• prepare and sterilize suture packs and surgical equipment
• use scheduling and electronic medical record software
• follow HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
