The Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Storage Platforms role is hybrid, with three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) required in Five9’s San Ramon, CA office. The stated U.S. base salary range is $90,700–$252,200 per year. Five9 provides cloud contact center software to customers worldwide. The engineer designs, implements, and operates storage and Kubernetes infrastructure to support secure, resilient, high-performance services for mission-critical applications. The work includes automation, observability, reliability engineering, troubleshooting, and collaboration with platform and SRE teams; the role also participates in on-call rotations and incident response.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and operate software-defined storage architectures across private and public cloud regions
• deploy and support enterprise storage platforms and SDS solutions
• build self-service storage workflows for Kubernetes CSI and OpenStack
• develop infrastructure-as-code and automation
• implement CI/CD pipelines
• build observability, alerting, and auto-remediation
• maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and scale-out infrastructure
• troubleshoot storage, Kubernetes, hypervisors, networking, and Linux systems
• participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis
• and collaborate on change management, documentation, and operational practices.
