Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (PRN)

The Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (PRN) role is onsite at Southern Indiana ENT practices in Columbus and Greenwood, Indiana. Compensation is $50 per hour. The nurse reports to the Practice Administrator and supports surgical patients before and after procedures.

What you'll do

• Review patient charts and confirm office criteria, medical history, and any needed medical clearance. Complete procedure-day intake, including informed consent, vital signs, NPO status, and IV placement
• review discharge instructions and discharge patients who meet criteria. Conduct pre- and post-operative calls, serve as a resource for surgical patients, implement physicians’ orders, arrange supplies and equipment, and follow clinical, privacy, and infection-control policies.
