The Assistant Controller is an onsite role in Mundelein, IL. Compensation is not specified. The position is the senior day-to-day accounting leadership role for two Kilcoy Global Foods business units, one focused on food manufacturing and the other on imported food products, reporting to the Vice President of Finance. The Assistant Controller owns close processes, financial statement integrity, controls, inventory and cost accounting, audit execution, and accounting-team development across both businesses. The role partners with operations, supply chain, procurement, commercial teams, and finance leaders to provide reliable reporting and support financially sound decisions.

What you'll do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
• own financial statement accuracy, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and balance-sheet schedules
• ensure U.S. GAAP and company policy compliance
• oversee intercompany accounting
• lead inventory accounting and review standard and product costing
• ensure landed-cost accounting for imported products
• strengthen internal controls
• lead external audit support
• oversee fixed-asset accounting
• improve accounting systems and workflows
• lead and develop accounting team members.
