Job overview

The Manufacturing Operator is an onsite, full-time position in Winston-Salem, NC, paying $24.75 per hour. FMI Composites makes high-temperature materials and composites used in defense, space, and other high-performance applications. The operator runs production equipment, processes materials, monitors quality, and maintains production records. Safe, accurate work supports the Silica Carbon Team’s manufacturing output and an efficient, collaborative production environment.

What you'll do

• Read and interpret work instructions and specifications
• process glass yarns, fibers, and cloth through chemical and thermal operations
• handle chemicals according to safety procedures
• operate leach lines, tank farms, ovens, and related systems
• set up and shut down equipment
• move materials between production and warehouse areas
• inspect and grade products
• prepare reports and logs
• perform minor maintenance
• operate textile machinery and package finished goods
• participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement.
