Computer Field Technician

Job overview

The Computer Field Technician role involves onsite service at customer locations in the Maple Grove, MN area, with daily local travel between sites. The role supports warranty service by completing assigned tickets, coordinating service times, and handling replacement parts and removed components.

What you'll do

• Repair and install laptop and desktop hardware
• complete assigned service calls at customer sites
• log into the technician portal by 9 a.m. on working days to code calls and plan routes
• confirm service times with customers
• pick up parts from the assigned shipping store
• return old parts using provided prepaid labels
• complete Dell and Lenovo certifications during onboarding.

Why this role

This is a 1099, per-call position with variable call volume, usually two to five calls per day. Candidates must be available at least three weekdays and have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and prior hands-on laptop and desktop repair experience.
