The nurse provides direct care within the substance use treatment program, supporting patient safety, stabilization, and recovery. Through assessments, medication administration, monitoring, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the role contributes to coordinated and compliant patient care.

What you'll do

• Provide direct nursing care under medical-provider supervision
• complete nursing assessments and admission documentation
• administer prescribed medications and treatments and provide medication education as indicated
• assess medical needs and initiate interventions, referrals, or emergency response as appropriate
• monitor psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety concerns
• use clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk assessment and de-escalation
• document and implement provider orders
• collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members
• maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with confidentiality, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
• support medication management and controlled-substance processes as applicable.
