Machinist / Mill Technician — Weekday Grave Shift

The Machinist / Mill Technician role is onsite in Layton, UT, with compensation of $22–$48 per hour, plus a $3.00 weekday grave-shift differential. Janicki Industries’ Layton facility machines complex carbon-fiber composite and aluminum structures for aerospace and space exploration markets. The technician sets up, machines, and inspects complex components in a five-axis environment, interpreting drawings and process instructions while monitoring machine controllers. The role also includes tool changes, part loading and inspection, routine maintenance, and support for deburring, detailing, and assembly as needed.

What you'll do

• Set up, machine, and inspect complex components in a five-axis environment
• read and interpret drawings, work orders, and process instructions
• monitor machine controllers
• change and monitor cutting tools
• load parts
• perform laser and manual inspection
• conduct routine machine maintenance
• support deburring, part detailing, and assembly
• follow safety, 5S, AS9100, and Nadcap practices.
