The Paramedic role is onsite in Chestertown, MD, with pay of $26.87–$42.99 per hour. The Kent County emergency medical services team provides pre-hospital emergency care within Kent County and surrounding areas. The paramedic responds to emergencies, assesses and treats ill or injured people, and transports patients when needed. The role also documents care, maintains emergency vehicles and equipment, and communicates with hospitals and other responders to support safe, effective emergency response.

What you'll do

• Respond to emergencies and assess and treat patients
• transport patients to hospitals or other emergency-care locations as needed
• communicate with hospital personnel and first responders
• operate emergency vehicles safely
• write call reports and other required reports
• participate in continuing education
• clean, restock, and check emergency vehicles
• perform station housekeeping
• guide EMS volunteers when needed.
